An active part of the cmNOG's Community has decided to launch a webinar model of meetups, in order to create conditions of awareness in the community for more engagement/participation…

Those webinars shall be organized in a regular and free basis. So two times per month, during an hour or a ninety minutes duration, a webinar will be organized by some volunteers, in the benefit of the cmNOG's Community and abroad.

Each webinar shall be recorded and all their respective Q/A sessions stored appropriately.

The next free active cmNOG's Webinar (#cmNOGwebinar3) will take place on saturday 21, march 2020, 19:00-20:00 (UTC +1).

…when you check the ressources actually allocated by AFRINIC to Network Operators and other Orgs whith ASNs (Autonomous System Number) located in Cameroon, it's quite clear that: • IPv6 still seems to be a resource reserved for the elite of Network Operators (NOs) {4/17 NOs, ie only 23.52% of NOs have started announcing IPv6 prefixes (i. only 6 IPv6 prefixes advertised, ii. None of the IPv6 prefixes is doing RPKI, iii. The IPv4 do not even care of IRR not to talk of RPKI & ROAs..,). But it is not even effective at the level of end users…}• Of the seventeen entries listed, only one Operator has recently (2019) show-up to AFRINIC to request for a new allocation of Internet Resources. {…which suggests that these network infrastructures are very very static!}•••

In order to address those concerns and restart to think of our network infrastructures in an optimistic manner, the webinar N°3 (#cmNOGwebinar3) is proposed to the cmNOG's Community, in particular, and will focus on the theme: “État des Lieux des Infrastructures Réseaux au Cameroun”.
